I did my PhD at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. The work primarily dealt with gaining insights into protein structure, stability and function through saturation mutagenesis studies coupled to deep sequencing. Currently my research interests include understanding, design and use of highly sensitive bacterial genetic circuits to probe effects of changes in the genetic code on translation efficiency, mRNA and protein levels, mostly at the single cell level.
